ACLS Precourse
Self-Assessment

The ACLS Precourse Self-Assessment is an online tool that evaluates a student’s knowledge in 3 sections: rhythm recognition, pharmacology, and practical application. Students complete the assessment before the course to help evaluate their proficiency and determine the need for additional review and practice before the course. All students must complete the Precourse Self-Assessment and achieve a score of at least 70% before taking an Initial or Renewal ACLS Course. Students must print their successful completion certificate and bring it with them to class.

PALS Precourse
Self-Assessment

The PALS Precourse Self-Assessment is an online tool that evaluates a student’s knowledge before the course to determine their proficiency and identify any need for additional review and practice. All students must complete the Precourse Self-Assessment and achieve a score of at least 70% before taking an Initial or Renewal PALS Course. Students must print their successful completion certificate and bring it with them to class.

HeartCode BLS Online

HeartCode BLS is the AHA’s blended learning delivery method for the BLS Course. HeartCode blended learning delivers quality resuscitation education regardless of where providers are located and gives them more control to complete the course at their own pace. Providers first complete the online portion of HeartCode BLS and then complete a hands-on skills session with an AHA BLS Instructor or on a simulation station.

Heartcode Completion Certificate must be emailed to vitalskills911@gmail.com before a skill session will be scheduled.

Heartcode ACLS Online

HeartCode ACLS is the AHA’s blended learning delivery method for the AHA’s ACLS Course. HeartCode blended learning delivers quality resuscitation education regardless of where providers are located and gives them more control to complete the course at their own pace. Providers first complete the online portion of HeartCode ACLS and then complete a hands-on skills session with an AHA ACLS Instructor or a HeartCode compatible manikin.

Heartcode PALS Online

Providers first complete the online portion of HeartCode PALS and then complete a hands-on skills session with an AHA PALS Instructor or a HeartCode compatible manikin.

Heartsaver Total Online

The Heartsaver Total course path of the Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED Online course is taught in a blended learning format. Students must complete the online portion, followed by the hands-on skills session conducted by an American Heart Association Training Center Instructor. Students who successfully complete the online course and skills session (sold separately), will receive a Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Course Completion card, valid for two years.

The Heartsaver Total – Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Online is a comprehensive course path designed for those requiring training to meet OSHA or other regulatory agency requirements.

Heartsaver Total PEDIATRIC
Online

Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED Online offers the convenience of digital learning. The eLearning portion of the Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED blended learning course is designed to teach students the cognitive information needed for pediatric first aid, CPR, and AED training. Upon completion of the online portion, students must complete a hands-on skills session (sold separately) with an AHA BLS or Heartsaver Instructor.

The AHA’s Heartsaver Pediatric course is designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs first aid and/or CPR training and a course completion card for job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements. 

 

The course is intended for those involved in childcare who have a duty to respond to illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. This audience includes childcare workers, teachers, foster care workers, camp counselors, youth organizations, and coaches for children’s sports organizations. This course is also ideal for parents, grandparents, extended family, babysitters, and guardians.

This course offers the flexibility of two different course paths:

  • Heartsaver – Shorter Heartsaver course path offers the flexibility to add optional topics. Add on optional topics when required topics are completed.

  • Heartsaver Total – Comprehensive course designed for those requiring training to meet OSHA or other regulatory agency requirements.
